🕌 Zakat Calculator (Kalkulator Zakat)

Work out your zakat penghasilan (income zakat) and zakat maal (wealth zakat) for 2026 — 2.5% once you reach the nisab of 85 grams of gold, following the BAZNAS method.

⚠️ Guidance only. This calculator uses the widely-followed BAZNAS method: a zakat rate of 2.5% and a nisab equal to the value of 85 grams of gold (with a one-year haul for zakat maal). The rupiah nisab depends on the current gold price, which you can edit above. Scholarly opinions differ on whether income zakat is taken from gross or net income and on the exact nisab basis, so treat the result as an estimate. For a binding ruling consult your local amil zakat body (such as BAZNAS) or a qualified scholar.

How zakat is calculated in 2026

Zakat is an obligatory charitable contribution in Islam, due at a rate of 2.5% once your income or wealth reaches the nisab — the minimum threshold, set at the value of 85 grams of gold. This calculator follows the method used by BAZNAS, Indonesia's national zakat agency.

Zakat penghasilan (income zakat)

Zakat penghasilan is due on regular income from work or profession. If your income for the year reaches the nisab (about Rp91,681,728 for 2026), you pay 2.5% of your income. BAZNAS calculates it on gross monthly income, so on Rp10,000,000 per month the zakat is Rp250,000 per month. You may pay monthly or accumulate and pay yearly. Some scholars allow you to deduct basic living needs first — the calculator offers an optional field for that.

Zakat maal (wealth zakat)

Zakat maal is due on wealth you have held for one full lunar year (one haul): cash and savings, gold and silver, investments, business assets and receivables, minus short-term debts. If your net wealth reaches the nisab (85 grams of gold) and the haul is complete, you pay 2.5% of the net wealth.
