How much paint do I need per square metre?

As a rule of thumb, 1 litre of standard emulsion covers about 12 m² in one coat. Most walls need two coats, so plan on roughly 6 m² per litre. The calculator builds this into the result and lets you choose 1, 2 or 3 coats.

How many tiles do I need?

Tiles needed = (Room area / single tile area) × (1 + waste%). The calculator handles any tile size and lets you adjust the waste factor — 10% is standard, 15% for diagonal layouts and 20% for herringbone.

How much extra flooring should I buy?

Order at least 10% extra for cuts, mistakes and future repairs. Patterned floors (chevron, herringbone) need 15–20% extra.
